Application tips

Here are a couple of tips for a successful application.

What your application should include

Have no fear. We understand that you probably haven’t had the chance to write many applications so far. Nevertheless, you should pay attention to a few points:

  • First of all, a comprehensive cover letter in which you introduce yourself and tell us why you want an internship or apprenticeship at Lubig. Don’t forget to write in which profession you’re applying for.
  • A resume in tabular form with your photo and contact details, your previous education and, if applicable, apprenticeships and internships.
  • Your last two school transcripts.
  • Any internship certificates that may be available.

Important: Your application documents should be complete. This also means that they arrive with us neatly and without spelling mistakes. It’s a good idea to have someone you trust read over them first.

We want to know why you think you’d be important to Lubig. Use your resume to highlight your skills and experience, e.g. language courses or stays abroad.

What happens after you apply?

If your documents were convincing, we’ll send you an invitation for an interview including an entrance test. The questions will be from the fields of mathematics, German, general knowledge, and (of course) subject-specific information. Furthermore, you should be prepared for tasks having to do with concentration and organization.

View the test as a positive!

It’s an opportunity. Prepare for it accordingly. Do a bit of research and browsing on our website. Things will be sure to work out!

Be on your best behavior

To start with: Please arrive on time and in appropriate clothing in which you feel comfortable. Don’t pretend to be something you’re not. Just stay relaxed and natural; we want to get to know you as a person. Tell us about yourself. Clear up questions you may have about your future job. We’re interested in what you plan to achieve professionally.

Last but not least: the training contract

We’ll get in touch with you after our interview. If everything fits, you’ll receive a training contract. Please sign the contract and send it back to us.

  • Training certificates
  • Certifications (if available)
  • Proof of educational achievement

Please send us your application documents by email, and in PDF format only. It would be good if you could prove your experience and skills with documentation such as diplomas or internship certificates. By the way: We pay attention to complete, error-free applications and compliance with standards. But you already took care of that, of course!

After the application

We take a very close look at each application. An invitation to an interview is already a good sign that your documents have hit the mark.

The job interview

You’ve cleared the first hurdle! Now we want to get to know each other a bit. The interview will last about one hour. So be on your best behavior, convince us that you’ve done your research about us, our industry, and about developments and trends in advance. We always ask why you think you’re predestined for the job. If you already have work experience, don’t forget to think about your desired salary. Depending on the position, we may also want to have further meetings to go into more detail.

Concluding the contract

If all the talks have gone well, there’s nothing stopping you starting at Lubig.
