Safety technology
A fine piece of safety.
When it comes to safety and the production of safety-relevant components, you can rest assured that we at Lubig know exactly what we’re doing, thanks to our decades of experience in the field. Well-known customers from this sector trust us. We’ve worked with the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control for many years. Our employees are specially trained when it comes to international delivery of turned metal parts and the associated export controls.
Safety-relevant components require a complete inspection of critical dimensions with end-to-end documentation. We pursue the topic of data privacy far beyond the legal requirements. For example, Lubig has closed factory grounds with appropriate access control.
The benefit for you
Assemblies and turned metal parts in the field of safety technology require a great deal of experience in processing the materials and surface treatments typical of the industry. It’s where you should leave nothing to chance. Special facilities enable us to produce thin-walled, complex components from these materials. Weight reduction through innovative materials, such as magnesium, is a major topic here. We manufacture precision turned parts from magnesium forging blanks and rods for the lowest possible part weights.
Naturally, we can provide you with well-founded advice on converting aluminum components to magnesium. Cleaning, preservation, and surface treatment play an important role, as the material is very susceptible to corrosion. Lubig assures permanent corrosion protection of magnesium components in cooperation with long-standing partners.
For our team, precision is not a matter of judgment, it’s a measurable constant. For example, we use machines with cooling units in combination with extensive measuring technology such as CMMs, as well as contour measuring devices and surface profilers in air-conditioned measuring rooms. We subject all turned parts to a comprehensive crack test on the primary material, the rod, and on the workpiece with ultrasonics and magnetic powder procedures.
